a new opinion in Computer about Apple Mac mini (MC815B/A)

Hi! I'd like to tell you about the computer we've recently bought for our house, the Apple's Mac Mini.

Everyone knows that Apple's products are really different from we're used to... they're always innovating, always trying to bring us something more interesting: and the result of this is the new Mac Mini.

The first thing you notice about it it's its size: it's really, really small you even start to doubt it's a desktop or not. 17.9cm square and 3.6 cm thin. Its appearance is also quite neat, with an amazing silver colour that resembles a lot the one that come with all the new Macbooks. It seems that apple's products are starting to go from the white colours to the silver ones. It makes it look more professional. In its back, there are all the plugs necessary to make it work, as well as some USB connectors and all this stuff needed in a computer. The first thing that surprised me when I saw it, is that doesn't have a place to put the CDs. That kind of disgusted me a lot, because I have lots of videogames in CDs, and that I'll need to convert them into an iso to play them from the pen-drive. On the other side, it has the advantage that it allows the device to be smaller.

When you first start it, you realize how different is a Mac from the Windows. The first thing to notice its that only takes it a few seconds to start working, you don't have to wait until you can use it. The Mac Mini comes with the Os X Mountain Lion, which is the last o.s. available. I have to say that I haven't tried a Mac before this one, so I can't say which are the differences between them. What can I say, though, I that it is very easy to use once you've learn how to do it, you can quickly navigate through all the programs and applications and it never gets slow... it's just wonderful. Another amazing thing is that while you're using a Mac, you'll never worry about all those viruses that are spread all over the internet, they won't simply be able to affect your Mac.

There are some things that I don't like of the Mac... and it's the compatibility with windows programs. As everyone know, this world is a Windows world, and almost every program is designed to run in a PC. Even if lost of programs are starting to be compatible with Mac, some specific ones don't, and that's something that bothers me a lot. For example, every time I want to play some videogame, I have to check if I can play it with the Mac Os, and if I can't, I just need to open the Windows emulator and play there. Of course, they'll work just fine, but it's such a hassle.

Even if that last thing is quite an inconvenient, I think it just don't matters when you see all the great things the Mac Mini can offer you. For example, you'd better use a Mac rather than a PC if you like to draw or do something like video editing. I used to use Photoshop in my former HP to draw a lot, because I loved it, but even if it was the only opened program, it would just collapse. Here, with my Mac Mini, I can have lots of programs opened and it doesn't even slow down.

I have to say the Mac Mini is a great choice, so go for it if you're thinking about it!! :)
